Nose reshaping (rhinoplasty) can reduce the size of a large nose or change aspects of a person’s nose that are out of proportion. A drooping tip can be lifted, a hump reduced, or wide nostrils can be made narrower.
Rhinoplasty can be performed in conjunction with internal nasal surgery intended to treat nasal obstruction or chronic sinusitis. External rhinoplasty scars are very short.
Although most changes are visible within the first two weeks after nose reshaping surgery, the final results can take 6-12 months to be apparent. Some patients may benefit from having chin enlargement (implant) done in conjunction with nose reshaping.
